I am a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor. Born and raised in Muscat, Oman, I had completed a 3-year degree in Media, Psychology and Literature in Bangalore (India) before moving to Peterborough, Ontario in 2016. I completed my diploma in Drug and Alcohol Counselling from Fleming College in 2017. Since May 2017, I have been practicing independently at Huma Counselling and Psychotherapy Services.

Attachment (aka addiction, dependence) to any substance (alcohol or drug) can be hard to control or overcome. I offer an eclectic approach that is client-centered. I start wherever you are comfortable, and we work from there. Along with my title, I can help you with other mental health factors like Stress, Anxiety, and Depression in your personal life or in the workplace. My activities stem from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy.
Would you like to gain control? Are you tired of letting ‘it’ take control of your personal and work life? Would you like to manage or stop the attachment? Then don’t hesitate to contact me. I don’t force my beliefs onto you, I focus on the same goals and provide support as you go along. Sessions are non-judgemental and safe.

If you are a person living with or know an individual (family or friend) who has an attachment to a substance (alcohol or drug), and you would like to understand on how to communicate and help them, I can help you. Do you want to better understand somebody with an attachment? Do you have difficulty in communicating with them without leading into a conflict? If so, do not hesitate to contact me! We will focus on areas that will help your relationship and yourself.
